Themes of Hope, the Body, and Power
Directed and designed by Ayşe Draz, the performance centers on nearly 500 questions collected from visitors of various generations since the opening of the exhibition. Focused on themes of violence, hope, the body, and power, these questions were transformed into a performance text by Ayşe Draz and Meliz Ergin, forming the structural backbone of the work.
Silent Questions references Suzanne Lacy’s participatory and research-driven approach, reinterpreting the collected questions through voice and movement. The performance brings together the emotions and thoughts contained within silence, shaping them into a collective experience.
The performers include Ayşe Draz, Begüm Akay, Berhan Alpergin, Egemen Sorgut, Gülüm Baltacıgil Gacoin, Merve Sude İyidoğan, Meyra Ahsen Temel, and Yağmur Kahraman.
