A Banksy mural in north London emerged on the side of a residential building in Hornsey Road, Finsbury Park, on March 18. Following an incident in which it was splattered with white paint, it has been obscured by plastic sheeting and surrounded by wooden boards.

The building’s owner has taken measures to shield the artwork by covering it with plastic sheeting, as confirmed by a spokesperson for Islington council, reported The Guardian.

Banksy himself claimed ownership of the mural via an Instagram post shortly after its creation, sparking significant public interest and speculation.

The artwork showcases bright green paint sprayed onto the building, ingeniously integrated with a cut-back tree to create the illusion of foliage. A stencil depicting a person holding a pressure hose adds further intrigue to the piece.

The Guardian also reported a council spokesperson said,  Banksy artwork has attracted huge crowds and there is a need to protect the art and local residents from the impact of visitor numbers, however, the protection is made by the owner of the building.
