The Quilt Story project, gathering traditional and contemporary art, is to take the stage at Miami Art Week. Led by Nazan Aktan and organized by Act Contemporary LLC Miami, the exhibition is supported by the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism. The exhibition project aims to merge traditional handmade quilts with contemporary art and tells the story of the craft of quilting with the vibrancy of modern art.

While paying homage to the Anatolian tradition of quilt-making, The Quilt Story exhibition presents handmade quilts as modern art pieces, preserving the age-old craft while redefining it through the infusion of contemporary artistic elements and techniques.

The quilts on display are more than mere art pieces; they are tangible manifestations of the skill and heritage wrapped up in their creation. The quilts and pieces offer a unique synthesis of the old and the new, a testament to the rich tapestry of human history and creativity.

The project aims to extend its wings to art fairs in Milan, Berlin, and Amsterdam in 2023, taking the rich Anatolian tradition of quilt-making to a global audience.
