The Ministry of Culture and Tourism revealed that the Hagia Sophia History and Experience Museum and the Ephesus Experience Museum, recognized as leaders in experiential museology globally and within Turkey, offer visitors a remarkable 50 percent discount during Museums Week until May 26.
According to the ministry’s announcement, the renewed exhibition space at the Hagia Sophia Museum of History and Experience showcases 204 historical artifacts, with most items being publicly displayed for the first time.
Utilizing advanced visual and audio technologies, the museum provides visitors with a unique journey through the entire history of the Hagia Sophia Mosque, an architectural masterpiece of global significance, spanning from its origins to the present day.
Enhancing this immersive experience, the museum showcases a collection of icons, church items, Islamic artifacts, and stone artifacts, many of which are on public display for the first time. Notably, the bronze medallion, crafted by the Fossatis and adorning the faces of the Seraphim angels within the Hagia Sophia, stands out as a must-see piece.
