Bringing the contemporary aesthetics of electronic music and ballet together on the same stage, TechnoBallet will present its world premiere on January 9, 2026, at Zorlu PSM %100 Studio. The standing-format interdisciplinary performance brings a DJ set and live ballet choreography together within a single stage composition.
Departing from the idea that electronic music and ballet can meet on a shared emotional plane, TechnoBallet invites the audience to step out of a passive role and into an experiential space that engages directly with the stage. The intense rhythmic structure of techno music merges with the physical and dynamic language of ballet, transforming the venue into a fluid zone shaped by the interplay between rhythm and movement. One of the performance’s standout moments is the section in which the DJ becomes part of the ballet on stage—an intentional threshold where the boundaries between the two disciplines are consciously dissolved. The standing arrangement eliminates the traditional distance between stage and audience; the expanding expressive field of electronic music carries ballet beyond its classical limits, situating it within a freer and more contemporary context.
TechnoBallet proposes an experience that goes beyond a performance meant solely to be watched. A complimentary hair and makeup area to be set up within the venue will allow audiences to incorporate their own performative identities into this world. For more information, please click here.
