The 8th edition of the electronic music festival Sónar Istanbul, featuring the participation of numerous artists from the electronic music scene, will take place at Zorlu PSM on April 26-27-28, 2024.

Electronic music festival Sónar Istanbul will take place in Zorlu PSM on April 26-27-28, 2024. The festival, which will last for 3 days, will feature renowned names in electronic music performing at SonarClub by %100 Music. Among the many artists included in the lineup, Adam Beyer, Jan Blomqvist, Henrik Schwarz, Sevdaliza, Marcel Dettman, Overmono, 2ManyDJs b2b Tiga, Ryoji Ikeda, Joy Orbison, Ellen Allien b2b Nene H, Gaia Ekho, and Samet Günal b2b NON will be on the main stage program.

This year at Sónar Istanbul 2024 main stage; Adam Beyer, recognized as one of the pioneers of modern techno and founder of Drumcode Records, Jan Blomqvist, renowned artist of the Berlin electronic music scene, who stands out with his minimal vibrations and live performances, Henrik Schwarz, an internationally renowned music producer who combines different genres of music such as deep house, techno, jazz, soul, and more with an eclectic approach, and Sevdaliza, a singer and producer who has reached millions of listeners with her song “Human” and grabs attention with her costumes and stage presence, will meet with the participants.

Additionally, DJ Marcel Dettmann, acclaimed for his solo projects “Command” and “The State of Art,” Overmono, comprised of brothers Tom and Ed Russel, who have earned praise for their experimental music style spanning from the experimental music to British Garage music, and for their album released in 2023. Joy Orbison, who blends various genres including house, dubstep, British garage, and old-school jungle, drawing inspiration from artists such as J Dilla, My Bloody Valentine, GG Allin, and The Beach Boys. Also, Ryoji Ikeda, a Japanese electronic composer and visual artist known for his innovative contributions to contemporary electronic dance music, with his performance “Ultratronics (Live Set),” have secured their spots in the lineup of the 8th Sónar Istanbul 2024 program for electronic music enthusiasts.

2ManyDJs b2b Tiga, the side project of the Belgian music group Soulwax, will share the stage with Tiga, a representative of dance music. Ellen Allien, known as one of the names of the Berlin techno scene with her album “Stadtkind,” will perform alongside Istanbul-born academic, producer and DJ, Beste Aydın, also known as Nene H. We will also hear sets from Gaia Ekho, who combines her passion for music with classical training, standing out with her cello and piano performances, bringing together various facets of electronic music. Additionally, Samet Günal b2b NON, known for his deep dedication to electronic music, with his dynamic transitions and energetic sets, will also perform at SonarClub by %100 Music.

“Unravel the Language of Tomorrow” at Sónar+D Istanbul 2024

Sónar Istanbul’s creativity and technology platform, Sónar+D, will once again be present at the SonarScreen stage this year. This platform provides space for professionals, researchers, designers, academics, and artists from all sectors, exploring how creative minds are shaping the present and envisioning the future.

The theme of Sónar+D Istanbul this year revolves around the impact of artificial intelligence and technology on humans, how they interact with large language models, how this interaction occurs through language, and how desired outcomes can be achieved.

While providing a space for new skills, discoveries, and opportunities, the program includes free panels, talks, workshops, installations, three-dimensional experiences, one-on-one mentorship, community gatherings, and much more throughout the day.
