British Council Turkey Grant Program to Give 350,000 TL

British Council Turkey will be selecting a maximum of seven institutions to grant each with at most 350,000 TL to develop creative collaborations and encourage innovative

British Council Turkey is initiating the second edition of the Creative Collaborations Grants to support collaborations between UK creatives and arts and culture institutions from Türkiye.

Following the success of the first edition in 2022,  this year the institution will be selecting a maximum of seven institutions to grant each with at most 350,000 TL to develop creative collaborations and encourage innovative and artistic productions among artists and arts and culture organizations in Türkiye and the United Kingdom.

The British Council aspires to link UK cultural professionals and organizations with their international peers and audiences by enabling connection and networking, and catalyzing and facilitating creative collaborations, showcasing and touring.

This grant is designed to support artists and arts institutions based in Türkiye to make and develop creative and artistic partnerships with UK peers and to encourage new projects and innovation.

Applications must demonstrate genuine collaboration and an explicit benefit to individual artists and partners. Projects are encouraged to address contemporary themes including climate change and other global challenges around diversity and inclusion.

The aims of this grant call are to help arts organizations from Türkiye develop and deliver creative projects in collaboration with UK partners,as well as share, celebrate and broaden appreciation of arts and culture from the UK and Türkiye through diverse, inclusive and innovative programming,

The program targets to create and share opportunities for professional collaborations between creatives and institutions, including public and private institutions, NGOs, universities, creative hubs and the creative industries in the UK and Türkiye, also inspire audiences from the UK and Türkiye to build positive relations with one another through cultural exchange while increasing participation and access to cultural and educational activities.

Diversity and inclusion will be at the heart of the program and will be reflected in the representation of the UK contribution, the showcasing of different genres of projects and innovative approaches to presenting accessible events and to reaching audiences across Türkiye, both live and online.
