Arter Children’s Festival

Scheduled to take place between 6–8 September 2024, under the title “Art As I See It”, the Arter Children’s Festival invites participants aged 4–11 to discover the possibilities and expressive potential of art. Children will get to know different materials and deepen their relationship with art by experiencing them through festival activities. Inspired by the artworks in Arter’s current exhibitions, the festival will feature events tailored for all children with an interested in art and a curiosity for exploration.

The three-day festival will bring together guided exhibition tours, workshops, rhythm-based activities, and spaces to explore the use of everyday objects for collective production in different venues of Arter. Throughout the festival, children will engage in lively conversations on artworks, explore art’s liberating aspects, and discover what art means to them in activities where they will experience various materials and production techniques.

The Discovery Hour activities, which will be held free of charge in the Studio on the -1 floor of Arter, will invite festival participants to collectively produce, discover and share together. During the Discovery Hour, children will be able to experiment with different production techniques and materials each day. Throughout the festival, the Collective Production Space in Arter’s Backyard and the Reading Corner full of books brought together in the Arter Library on the 1st floor are waiting for children for a collective play, production and reading.
