Yapı Kredi bomontiada, in collaboration with the Austrian Cultural Office, presents Women Artists in Contemporary Austrian Art: Ulrike Köb and Die 4 Grazien, opening on March 29. Bringing together themes such as environmental awareness, consumer culture, female identity, and solidarity, the exhibition invites viewers into a multilayered space of thought and experience through works across different disciplines. Hosting two exhibitions focused on contemporary Austrian art between March 29 and April 12, Yapı Kredi bomontiada offers a dual artistic framework under the title Women Artists in Contemporary Austrian Art, encouraging reflection on both individual and collective artistic practices.
A Critical View of Consumer Culture
Photographer Ulrike Köb’s exhibition Reuse-Reduce-Rethink centers on sustainability and consumption habits. Compositions constructed from plastic waste, everyday objects, and food materials make environmental destruction visible, confronting the viewer with an unsettling yet thought-provoking experience. Her works highlight the impact of rapid consumption and waste production on nature, while also addressing issues such as water conservation and natural nutrition through an aesthetic language.

Collective Practice on Female Identity and Solidarity
The second part of the exhibition features the Die 4 Grazien collective, which focuses on feminist solidarity and collaborative production. Founded in Vienna and working across multiple disciplines, the collective engages with themes of female identity, social roles, and representation through photography, video, painting, and textile. Their works draw attention to the challenges of producing art as women artists while also making visible the transformative power of solidarity. In this way, the exhibition evolves into a multilayered narrative that bridges individual stories and shared experiences.
On View Until April 12
The exhibitions can be visited daily from 11:00 to 19:00 at Yapı Kredi bomontiada GALERİ until April 12. Together, they offer a comprehensive meeting point that explores the relationship between contemporary art and pressing environmental and social issues from multiple perspectives.
