Following the East–West Synthesis

The discussion will focus on how, in Kür’s novels, all roads seemingly lead to Paris and how the long-standing East–West question in Turkish literature took on a new dimension within the political atmosphere of the 1970s. Another central theme will be the recurring issue of women’s emancipation, examining how this struggle gains deeper meaning when confronted with male characters arriving from Paris.
