The Turkey Workshop, run by the Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts (İKSV) at the Cité Internationale des Arts, one of Paris’s long-established art institutions, is expanding both its range of disciplines and its scholarship opportunities from 2026 onwards. The program will now offer scholarships to musicians and writers as well as visual artists for three-month periods. The deadline for applications is October 2, 2025.
The Turkey Workshop offers artists the opportunity to live and work in the heart of Paris. In the new period, creators from the fields of visual arts, experimental film, design, performance art, music, and literature will be able to apply to the program. Each year, a total of two visual artists, one musician, and one writer will benefit from this opportunity. In a two-stage evaluation process conducted by the selection committees, candidates who pass the first round will be invited to discuss their projects with committee members and the İKSV team.
Writers Can Apply for the First Time
Turkey Workshop is opening its doors to writers for the first time in 2026. The selection committee for literature includes Yiğit Bener, Didem Ermiş Sezer, and Sibel Oral. Thus, writers from Turkey will also have the opportunity to live, write, and develop new projects in Paris for three-month periods.
Visual Arts and Music Juries
The selection committee evaluating applications in the field of visual arts includes Çelenk Bafra, Sena Başöz, Özer Dicle, Kevser Güler, and Yasemin Özcan. In the field of music, Yeşim Gürer Oymak, Rana Uludağ, and Ahmet Uluğ are on the selection committee.
An International Art Center
Hosting approximately 300 artists from around the world each year, the Cité Internationale des Arts offers artists a wide range of opportunities with its personal studios, exhibition halls, rehearsal rooms, and concert and performance spaces. Since 2009, a total of 55 artists have produced work in Paris as part of the Turkey Workshop run by the İKSV. The program is supported by the İKSV Young Artist Fund.
Artists wishing to participate in the program in 2026 must complete the online application form by October 2, 2025, at 5:00 p.m.
