Inspired by Feelings in Common: Works from the British Council Collection, participants leave the museum with their “bad portraits”!
Offering a humorous approach to aesthetic perception and art production, the event is held in sessions scheduled throughout the day. Participants order their “bad portraits” inspired by Jake & Dinos Chapman’s work, Painting for Pleasure and Profit (2006), featured in the exhibition, thus observing different ways of relating to an art object and witnessing the moment of creation.
The process offers a new perspective on the exchange between the viewer, the artist, and the artwork. At the end of this brief and enjoyable experience, participants leave the museum with portraits that serve as lasting souvenirs.
The event will take place at Pera Café.
