The exhibition Sonsuz Döngü – NAVİN (Infinite Cycle – NAVİN), which brings together the works of interior designer and artist Aslı Arıkan Dayıoğlu created with natural materials such as ceramics, glass, and gold, can be viewed at Goba Art Gallery until June 20.
Inspired by the idea that time flows in a cyclical rather than linear manner, the exhibition opens up a layered intellectual space exploring memory, intuition, and human experience. Dayıoğlu’s works blend the rhythm of nature with the fragile nature of humanity, inviting viewers on an intuitive journey through the transformative power of art.
Works produced using the Japanese Raku ceramic technique highlight the aesthetics of randomness and the sanctity of the creative process. The cracks and sooty textures that appear on the surfaces symbolize not perfection, but lived experiences and inner transformation. This fragility is honored with gold; the gold traces running through the cracks transform into a powerful metaphor where fragility meets aesthetics. The exhibition also features the “Navin Sehpa,” designed with the spiral pattern of traditional Çeşm-i Bülbül glass art. This special piece, with bronze legs resembling the shape of a rose, reflects the cycle of time and the movement of energy with the spiral flow on its glass surface. Navin is not just a piece of furniture; it is a work of art that brings together cultural memory and spiritual transformation with modern aesthetics, accompanying the exhibition.
The exhibition, held at Goba Art & Design’s space in Beyoğlu, offers a unique atmosphere where art and design intertwine, providing a distinctive experience.
