Arter hosts Tonedmeslima Music Festival

Arter will host Tonedmelisma Music Festival once again this yer

Arter will host the Tonedmelisma Music Festival between 8-10 September 2023. Organized under the direction of composer Ataç Sezer, the festival will host world-renowned virtuosos of classical music such as Aaron Pilsan, Minguet Quartett, Onur Özkaya and Senka Simonović around the theme of “Portraits – New Faces”.

Focusing on the interaction between contemporary music and mystical tradition, Tonedmelisma Music Festival will take place in Arter this year as it was last year. Organised under the direction of composer Ataç Sezer, Tonedmelisma Music Festival will meet with the audience between 8-10 September 2023 under the theme of “Portraits – New Faces”.

The selection of works included in the festival program will focus on the transformation of portraiture as an artistic expression over the centuries and the relationship of this transformation with music. The evolution of the portrait, whose motive was to reflect reality exactly, into a creation fed by virtual reality, will also be among the subjects that the festival focuses on. Underlining not only a material transformation but also a radical change, Tonedmelisma Music Festival, through musical portraits, “Is virtuality today’s mysticism?” will seek an answer.
