In celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Republic, the Nation’s Library in Ankara presents its new exhibition on Ottoman and Republican Period decorations, coins, medals, commemorative coins and precious papers from the Mint and Stamp Printing House Collections. Might and Memory seeks to reveal the cultural richness surrounding the history of the Mint and how its wealth, civilization, and aesthetics spread around the world. As symbols of power, coins symbolize the power of past eras and their remaining legacy in the present.
